Select Board Files Sept. 22 Agenda as FCTS Vote Nears Oct. 6

HEATH — The Select Board posted the agenda for its Tuesday, Sept. 22 meeting this week, arriving as the Town Clerk's office logged the signed election warrant for the Franklin County Technical School building project, setting up an Oct. 6 vote for Heath residents.

TOWN HALL The Select Board's agenda for its Sept. 22 session, set for 5 p.m. in the Jacobs Road Municipal Center cafeteria, was filed to the town website Friday, Sept. 18, according to the board's posted files. The board also has meetings scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, and Tuesday, Oct. 13, both at 5 p.m. in the same cafeteria, per the town calendar, and town offices will close Monday, Oct. 12, for Indigenous Peoples Day.

The Town Accountant's office released a new round of budget documents this week, posting FY27 detail and summary expense reports along with a grant and special revenue detail report Monday, Sept. 14, giving residents an early look at spending projections for the fiscal year that begins next July. The Tax Collector's office also posted an FY2026 tax taking file Wednesday, Sept. 16.

SCHOOLS The Town Clerk's office confirmed the signed election warrant for the Franklin County Technical School (FCTS) building project is now on file, clearing the way for Heath voters to cast ballots on the project Tuesday, Oct. 6, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Jacobs Road Municipal Center.

The Select Board's news feed has also continued pointing residents to background materials on the Mohawk Trail Regional School District's (MTRSD) building project, a separate regional initiative first flagged in town postings dated Sept. 14, alongside the FCTS project information.
